Dr David Su introduces the agility ladder and its goodness for the 23rd day of the Gleneagles 30-Day Challenge. The Gleneagles 30-Day Challenge is a 30-day guide on nutrition, exercise and health to encourage and educate Singaporeans on living healthier.

Dr Su found the agility ladder to helpful in training agility and core strength for some of his patients. Overtime through the exercise, it can help prevent sprains and twisting injuries to the lower limbs. In the video, Dr Su demonstrates one of the agility ladder exercises.

Dr Su also gave some advice on fitness training:

  • Avoid increasing your weekly running mileage by more than 10%
  • Adopt a cross-training programme to avoid overloading the cartilage, ligaments and muscles with the same movement
  • Remember to work on your core strength and flexibility, through exercises like planking, as well
